hey, I’m dan.
BACP accredited therapist & founder of realtalk.
If you’re here, there’s probably a part of you that’s tired.
Tired of carrying things alone.
Tired of second-guessing yourself.
Tired of trying to be “fine” while anxiety, self-doubt, or relationship patterns keep pulling you back into the same loops.
Therapy with me isn’t about performing or saying the right things.
It’s about being real, and building the kind of safety where we can look at what’s going on without judgement.
We’ll get curious about your patterns, where they came from, and what keeps them in place. And we’ll bring the body into it too - because change doesn’t just happen through insight; it happens when your nervous system learns it’s safe to do something new.
We go at your pace. We stay honest. And we keep coming back to what matters: feeling more like you again.
If you’re unsure, we can start with a free call and take it from there.

therapy.
a space to untangle what’s going on,
without judgement or pressure.
-
Anxiety can feel like being permanently on alert, analysing, rehearsing, and second-guessing yourself. In therapy we slow things down and get curious about what your mind and body are trying to protect you from. The aim is to feel steadier, clearer, and more able to respond in the moments that matter.
-
If closeness feels complicated, you might find yourself people-pleasing, withdrawing, overgiving, or shutting down. We’ll explore the patterns that show up in relationships, and what they’re trying to protect you from. Over time, we work towards connection that feels safer, clearer, and more honest.
-
People-pleasing often starts as a way to stay safe, keep the peace, or avoid conflict, but it can leave you exhausted. We’ll work with the guilt and fear that can come with saying no, and practise boundaries that still feel kind. The goal is to stay connected to yourself, even when someone else is uncomfortable.
-
You might look capable on the outside, but inside there’s a voice that questions your worth or worries you’re not enough. We’ll explore where that voice came from and how it shapes your choices and relationships. The work is about building self-trust, not performative confidence, but something steadier.
-
Sometimes it’s not anxiety, it’s flatness, heaviness, or feeling cut off from yourself. We’ll go gently and take this seriously, without trying to force change. Often numbness is protective, and therapy can help you reconnect with feeling, meaning, and your body again.
-
Old experiences can live on in the body, in your reactions, your relationships, and your sense of safety. We’ll work with what still shows up today, at a pace that feels manageable, without pushing you to relive the past. This can include early experiences or childhood trauma, with a focus on loosening its grip on your present.
