frequently asked questions.

what happens on the initial call?

The initial call is simply a chance for us to connect and see if working together feels like the right fit.

There’s no pressure to make any decisions on the spot. We’ll have a relaxed conversation where you’re welcome to ask any questions, and I may ask a little about what’s bringing you to therapy and how I might be able to support you.

If it feels right for you, you’re welcome to reach out afterwards to arrange your first session.

are the sessions confidential?

Yes, your sessions are confidential.
Everything we talk about stays between us, unless there’s a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s, this would always be spoken about with you first, wherever possible.

I also reflect on my client work with a clinical supervisor, as part of ethical best practice.

Your identity is protected in those conversations.

how does payment work?

The initial 30-minute consultation call is free and can be done over the phone or via video.

If we decide to move forward, sessions are 50 minutes long and cost £45. Payment is made via bank transfer, and I ask that this is done before each session.

can I see you in person or online?

Yes- I offer therapy in person, online, and by phone.

Once we’ve confirmed your first session, I’ll send you all the details, including directions to the centre and parking information if you’re coming in person.

For online sessions, we’ll meet via Google Meet.

You’ll receive a link via email before each appointment.

How do you work with clients?

My approach is relational and integrative, which means I don’t follow a one-size-fits-all model. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to support you as a whole person- with curiosity, care, and attention to what’s happening in the moment.

My foundation is in Gestalt therapy, which focuses on present-moment awareness and how we relate to ourselves and others. I also draw from Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, and somatic practices- bringing together emotional insight and body-based awareness to support real, sustainable change.

In our sessions, we might explore:

  • What you’re feeling and how you experience it emotionally, physically, and mentally

  • Patterns that show up in your relationships or self-talk

  • The ways past experiences may still be shaping how you live and relate now

There’s space to reflect, unpack old stories, and learn tools to support yourself differently.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship.

Therapy isn’t something I do to you- it’s something we co-create together, at your pace.

The goal isn’t to be perfect.

It’s to deepen your self-understanding, reconnect with your voice, and move through life with more choice, presence, and self-trust.
